Introduction

This document serves to disclose several details about the nature of this fundraiser ("Dash's Top Surgery Fund") for the benefit of donors.

Use of Funds Donated

All funds raised through any fundraising action under the umbrella of "Dash's Top Surgery Fund" will primarily be used for the following medical purposes:

  • Consultation with a specialist in plastic surgery
  • Masculinizing double mastectomy surgery (commonly known as "top surgery")
  • Transportation to and from the clinic
  • Equipment and consumables related to post-surgery recovery (e.g. compression tops, bandages, &c.)
  • Prescription charges for painkillers or any medication related to post-surgery recovery, as well as charges for gender-affirming hormones

They will also be used for the following administrative purposes:

  • Funding platform (GoFundMe) fees
  • Payment processing (Stripe) fees
  • Web hosting
  • Domain name registration fees

The proportion of funds directed to medical purposes will be greater than that directed to administrative purposes, in line with the advertised nature of the fundraiser.

Any remaining funds once the above purposes have been met may be retained, distributed to charity, or distributed to other people's gender-affirming fundraisers. Surplus funds will not be refunded to donors.

Privacy and Safety

This website features limited photographs of the beneficiary, Dash. This is to preserve his privacy in an environment where scraping of images by AI tools is rife.

Additionally, the beneficiary, Dash, will only ever be referred to by his first name—and occasionally a last initial. This is necessary to maintain Dash's safety as his family members are not supporting of his transition.
